The 460ETCDM moves data between 1-5 Allen-Bradley PLCs and up to 32 DeviceNet Slave devices.

With the 460ETCDM you are making a direct connection between DeviceNet data and user defined Tags or Registers in the data table of your Allen-Bradley PLC. There is no polling from the PLC or EtherNet/IP scan lists to arrange. This is a direct connection between your DeviceNet Slave data and the data table of your PLC.

How Does the Data Move In and Out of the PLC?
You allocate two areas of tags or register blocks in your Allen-Bradley PLC. One area is a user defined set of write only tags or register blocks accepting data from DeviceNet. The other area is full of read only tags or register blocks to send data to your DeviceNet Slaves. You directly map DeviceNet data into read and write locations in the data table of your Allen-Bradley PLC.

It’s really that simple. Need to modify your data as it passes from one protocol to the other? No problem. Each data mapping you apply can be modified with up to 3 mathematic functions. Add 4 to a value, multiply by 4 and divide by 10 with ease.

What Makes it so Simple to Use?
Simply log into your unit using your favorite browser and you are ready to configure the unit. You set the number of DeviceNet Slave devices. You define the I/O data that gets transferred and you pick where it should end up in the PLC. There is no software to download or code to futz with. It sounds simple, and it is, that’s the point.

The 460ECDM is the smart connection solution for moving data from DeviceNet Slave devices to MicroLogix, PLC5E and SLC 505 PLCs. Saving you money and increasing the abilities of the PLCs within your automation processes.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
The 460ETCDM provides an option to access a DeviceNet system with an Allen-Bradley PLC without an expensive in-rack solution. While there are certainly a number of other companies offering stand alone gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.

When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations even if that means recommending someone else’s solution. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait. We are unashamed of the fact that we are a smaller company because that means you mean a lot more to us.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”

Kevin L. / Extol, Inc.
